And today's adventure in education: the lockdown drill. We had to shut the lights and blinds, lock the doors, and get away from the windows, while the marshalls walked around and tried the doors. I was subbing in resource room today with four kids, three of whom started giggling uncontrollably. I kept frowning at them in the near darkness; another resource room teacher was there with me and kept telling them to shush. What a world.
Also, it was ninth period before a four-day weekend, which in a way made excellent sense, since the last period of the day was sure to be a waste educationally.
