Haven't posted much lately, doh. I'm too tired from teaching, and too much of my thinking is caught up with teaching issues, problem students, etc.
Not sure how much I like working full time. I'm surprised by how much I miss having the flexibility, how out of the loop I feel with the kids.
Secundo complains the most, I think. He just learned to ride a bike w/o training wheels and he was very concerned about me coming to see him ride. I got to watch today and live out a scene from Kramer vs. Kramer. He was very proud of himself and gleefully kept counting up the number of laps he'd ridden.
Big milestone for him, b/c he'd been avoiding learning and obsessing re going to Safety Town with the school this year. Now he can go to Safety Town. And I got to contemplate all the fabulous DNA I bequeathed him, b/c it took me until I was ten before I could ride a bike. Some gross motor, a lot of anxiety.
Der hundt has developed this weird hoarse high-pitched bark when he's excited. We think it's the legacy of the awful kennel we took him to when we went to Beantown last month. Poor darling.
