Yesterday was Secundo's birthday; coincidentally or not, it was also my grandfather's birthday; Secundo was named for my grandfather (which would have made him, I suppose, Secundo the First, or perhaps Primo). Secundo is now seven, making him no longer a little kid. Didn't some famous Jesuit say, "Give me a child until seven and I'll show you the man" or words to that effect. I suppose Secundo has been molded in Mommy's own little Jesuit school, then.
