So for some reason lately when I go to Borders I find myself over in the mathematics section. I don't know who I'm kidding. I enjoy the lowgrade math problems I tutor; I enjoy puzzles; that's about the extent of my ability. (Though, to keep this somewhat on-topic, I found myself reading a biography of Paul Erdos and thinking, "Clearly on the spectrum.")

I've noticed that as I get older, I'm less interested in fiction, esp. current fiction. It has to be fairly crunchy and cerebral for me to enjoy it, lately. Which is disconcerting, what with my academic interest being narrative theory and really bad, sentimental Victorian novels. Being back in classes w/people who love poetry has gotten me to read more current poetry, though, for which I'm grateful. I seem to be specializing in hard C sounds in my recent purchases: Collins, Kumin, Kunitz, Kooser.
