I had to pick up a prescription for Stalevo yesterday, which is some sort of three-in-one Parkinson's combo, which got me thinking about the name. Does it mean Stay Upright, as in levitate (memories of my strict and excellent seventh-grade French teacher, may she rest in peace, having us rise when she came into the room: "Levez-vous," she'd command. "Asseyez-vous")?
