First day of NaNoWriMo. I have grand ambitions this year that I'll reach the 50,000 word mark--last year I think I made it to 30K before the end of the month, but then, I started a week late. So far I'm about 1300 words in. I'd tell you what it's about, but it would violate the various licensing agreements.

Been reading campy fiction: Elinor Glynn's Three Weeks, which features a heroine who likes to pose languorously in purple and green outfits while she stretches out on a tiger skin. She also teaches a young man about Beauty and Life, which seems to involve romps on the tiger skin or occasional visits to Swiss lakeside resorts to pick gentians.
