Also, there's been an Internet foofaraw over some blogger with the unfortunate (to my mind) name of Smockity Frocks: I wouldn't be reading her ordinarily, since she doesn't sound like someone I'd find too copacetic in real life. At any rate, she decided to blog "humorously" about her encounter with a little girl who annoyed her while she was at the library with her children. The little girl sounded autistic to a lot of readers; she didn't respond well when this was suggested to her--you can take a look at Squidalicious for the hideous details.

Honestly, this woman sounds like the kind of nude-pantyhose-with-white-shoes-wearing, floral-dress-with-big-collar, parochial in the worst sense nitbrain whose opinions shouldn't matter. Except she stands for a lot of people who are out there spreading their sanctimonious toxic clouds around and reinforcing each other's groupthink. And they're out there in the world sometimes making decisions based on their uninformed narrow little snap judgments. A lot of the bloggers were surprisingly kind to and about her. I don't think she has an excuse for being that ignorant, especially given her stated teaching experience. Also, I'm a bitch, I must state unapologetically.
