Apparently the NYS tests (not the Regents) are norm-referenced, which makes no sense.

Random thing I saw in paper today: NYC schools are rethinking their selection process. Why? Because the OLSAT wasn't identifying enough gifted kids. Sound familiar? How well was this test standardized? Piece of shite.
