Yale
University, facing pressure from Congress and even some of its own donors to
use more of its robust investment gains, announced on Monday that it would
increase by nearly 40 percent the amount of money the university spends next
year from its endowment.
The new formula means Yale will spend an additional $307 million next year,
using a total of $1.15 billion from its endowment. The money will be used to
increase significantly the amount of financial aid the university dispenses to
students, as well as for scientific and medical research and a likely expansion
in the number of undergraduates admitted.
Honestly.

It took Congressional pressure for these jackasses to consider giving more financial aid?
