The Naperville Saga

Eesh, the full story is even more disturbing: they offered the assistive device back if the famly would settle and sign a gag order, so clearly they saw the Tango as a bargaining chip. And it's bullshit that it was part of the placement, so that's why they withheld it. You can disagree on part of the IEP, and the Tango was never in dispute as part of his IEP. Would they hold onto schoolbooks if they couldn't agree on an in-district placement. This is clearly someone deciding to play hardball and then being disingenuous about motive. It's surprising to me that they had the nerve to be discussing cost with this family, since that is not supposed to be part of the discussion (it's in the background, but it's not stated, b/c it can't be, under law).
