Also: a semi-serious comment re the bumper boats. There was a kid who appeared to be developmentally disabled who was very upset re having to get off the ride (kept wailing, "I want to go back on! I want to go back on!"). The park doesn't seem to have a disability policy nor does it allow people to go back on again. I can well see this having been an issue with my eldest back in the day. The park is brand spanking new so adjustments will have to be made.

Given the increased visibility of autism, parks should probably be aware of rides that tend to turn into stimfests. I have very bad memories of being at Hershey Park and watching my kid go around and around and around on the carousel. It sucked. Fortunately, we had one of those disability passes and were able to rinse and repeat. I can't imagine how many kinds of hellish it would have been to have taken her off.
