In Another Country and Century, My Namesake is Murdered

One can find amazing things in the Yad Vashem database, including the death date of the woman I was named for, shot near Vilnius in September 1941. What a shock to put in that specific name and find, indeed, that specific record--such and such a woman who was married to such and such a man (the right name, the right occupation, the right small town). And on that date, said a man named Yaakov Safirshteyn in 1955, she was massacred with her husband: they were 72 and 73 years old.
