My Other Favorite Mad Irishman

One of my few good memories of U.Va. is of Michael Levenson teaching Ulysses and saying, "This book is better than we are," and then adding, "I can't believe I'm talking this way." It's true, isn't it, that students respond to teachers who have passion, aficion, what-have-you, for what they're teaching.
