So I find myself at 1 AM looking up juggling sites on the internets. Cuz I read some article in the Times that involved busing poorer kids in Connecticut to someplace like Westport or Greenwich or somesuch, and there was something about a juggling club, b/c juggling is supposed to improve cognitive function. And I am all about improving cognitive function. But actually the part that interested me was that it must involve crossing the midline or getting the two sides of your brain to communicate, and it seems to me I've read numerous times about crossing the midline and the corpus collosum. And then I read somewhere that ballroom dancing was the most effective hobby for preventing Alzheimer's, and yesterday I was teaching her the grapevine move which is the basis of every folk dance ever. Took her awhile to get it, and there I was at the pool, my fat self in my fat bathing suit showing her how to do the hora not, God forbid, for cultural reasons.
