Whee! Found my QuickDraw book, which is supposed to help with mathematical visual imagery. Prima is strong in this area; Secundo, the one with some mathematical flair, seems to have some inconsistencies/weaknesses. We shall start with the easier ones so that he can experience success, b/c Secundo is an unhappy little person when he doesn't get something soonest.
This necessitated an extensive tour of my books, which reminded me of the shocking state of disorganization in which they reside. I am a librarian's daughter. I don't like it when my books aren't alphabetized by author and separated by genre. The cookbook and the play do not lie down together.
Another recent successful purchase: Scattergories, which supposedly helps them think in categories and thus get the Main Idea, useful for reading comprehension and other such animals. The fancy neuropsychologist who developed the social skills program recommended it. Good enough for me. Alas, Secundo is more interested than is Prima, but I'm hoping to coax her to play it with me later. Assuming my head doesn't explode, because I'm pretty sure I have strep. Again.
